How to install aluminium venetian blinds
Follow these instructions to learn how to install your new aluminium venetian blinds. Installing vertical blinds couldn’t be simpler. Just follow the guides below and contact the Curtain World service team if you have any problems.

Installations can vary slightly so be sure to follow the instructions carefully on the sheet provided.
1. Position and fix your brackets
Firstly, decide whether you’d like to mount your brackets on the top or side of your window.
Our brackets are designed so you can choose what works best for you.
Use a pencil to mark where you’re going to position the bracket, then drill in the screws to fasten.
In most scenarios, the screws provided will be suitable to mount the brackets. However, if you need to fix the blind to a window lintel or into masonry, you may need to source more appropriate screws and plugs.
2. Attach the blind to the brackets
Once you’ve attached the brackets, lift the track at the top of your blinds into position. The front edge of the track will sit on the hooks at the front of the bracket and you simply tilt it upwards to snap into position.
3. Operating the blind
When operating the blind always tilt the slats horizontally before raising or lowering the blind.
This will extend the life of the blind, and makes the movement easier and smoother.
4. Attach a child safety device
Remember, all blinds need to be fitted with a child safety device so please read the requirements in your instruction sheet.
Important checks
Please check that all parts have been supplied before you begin to assemble your new Aluminium Venetian Blind.
Ensure that the blind is mounted level for correct operation.
